bit more done today.. ive opted for really narrow floor rails at the front because the model A rails will need to fit inside, a wee channel job .. maybe..

still a bit of work to do round the front, i keep in primer as i go - this tub still lives outdoors...

side note . 1st pic - i found a narrow chisel - dropped out the bottom of the pillar when i cut away a rusty bit to replace.. handle is long gone but can see where it was, .

i wondered how many people have looked for that dam rattle??

few different parts looked at today ..

the old coupe dash needed some re-shaping and a few extra holes filled - the black smiley line across the lower section was the original cut line, - i decided to spin the dash 180 deg. ive prefer the symetry of the gauges this way round + gives me an ignition switch at the bottom

Bit of rust in the door... and assembled the majority of the screen post mount. --- (sorry for the mess, ! id run out of grinding enthusiasm today and it was way past lunch! ) -- I decided it would be more fun trying to make one ,, + all the early Dodge parts people i know of said they didnt have spares..

sometime ideas change..

.. facebook marketplace occasionally turns up a little treasure..

recently a kindly retiree was selling off his collection of 27 Willys coupe spares.. he had collected 4 different cars to build one .. (resto'd) with enough parts for a 2nd build and many spares.. anyway i picked up rear 1/4s trunk lid and lower panel.

think this will change the rpu to a a roadster,, lines look good i reckon although top needs "roadster-ising".

thoughts anyone ?

Great start to a cool little roadster crate!
The swoop of the rear edge of the cockpit matches the swoop of the front edge on the cowl😎
I’d get everything lined up. You may not have to mod that area at the rear of the cockpit. Just continue that body bead line across the door and the cowl.
Keep it simple and fun.
😎😎😎
