Quick update before work. Front clip is almost on solid. Replaced a couple bad hood catches and used stainless bolts that I had. Fabbing up some homemade hood props.

Don't have any pictures, but got back to it after a long winters rest.
The engine and trans have been relocated 4 3/8" rearward. Everything worked according to plan.

more progress

Been working on filling the hole in the floor. After deciding not to spend any money I grabbed some tin from the metal pile and came up with this. Still need to run beads, but worked out pretty much like I wanted.

I did a little modification to the ranger pedals. They are nicer than the S10.

This is the stiffener for the firewall where the brake and clutch mount to.

I found some pictures of what I want it to look like. Well, not that big of tires. [cl

Hopefully you are more successful at putting the box on level than they were... ;)

I pulled it off the S10 and put it on a Ranger 4X4 chassis and it fits that a lot better. That starts at post 50 (bottom of page 5)

Looks like you're making good progress! What are the differences in the Ranger frame that made the body fit it better?

Since its a 4X4 it works better for raising the cab to a normal level. But the steering box tucks in behind the radiator support instead of right in the middle of it.
I am still deciding between a box or a flatbed. Should be able to get it level.

Got some more updates for you guys.

Put the ranger gauges in the Dodge housings. The amp meter will be dead (don't like them). Made a bracket from diamond plate for the volt gauge.

Picked up a set of explorer wheels. Modified 2 of the center caps for the lock outs.

Got the exhaust hooked back up after moving the motor back. Used a new Smithy muffler.

The alternator is back in and just fits within the engine bay. Also got a new and shorter belt.

Power steering pump too.

Needed new u-joints at the column and the steering box.

Master cylinder is mounted. Clutch is being a challenge. It landed on the firewall rib, going to have to cut it out.

Rolled the beads in the floor tin, next is the toe board.
