Not sure on that one.
If it's a pcv valve it'll have a check valve that will rattle if you shake it.

Wow. Thanks old iron. I gotta say, you have been a tremendous help and educator. I've learned more from you guys on this site than you know. That's a great diagram and I really have a much better understanding of how it all works. I'm fixin to go out to the garage and shake it. Now.....if it doesn't appear to have a PCV valve, do I need to get a breather with one in it? In other words, how vital is a PCV valve to the operation of the engine?

Younger people won't even know what you're talking about when you mention a road draft tube.
When they used a road draft tube the engines didn't use pcv valves because, this device took care of that operation.
The pcv valve was designed to take care of this process in engines we run nowadays.
