Default wheels

I have a build I'm working on. 41 ford truck on a 49 f1 frame. The question I'm asking is does anyone know if wheels from a 49 mercury car are the same as a 49 ford truck . A buddy has some stock wheels from his merc, but I'm thinking for a extra set for my trucks.

No. At least I'm 99% sure, no. Cars went to 5x4.5 in 49. Trucks stayed 5x5.5 for-ev-er. Assuming all is still stock.
39 Ford PU Build. http://ratrodsrule.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36459

The thing about a '39 Ford pick-up is that that ugly grille kinda' grows on ya' after a while.

Not taking anything too seriously.

The 1% got you Skip. They WILL fit if they are truly '49 Mercury wheels. While Ford passenger cars went to 4.5" in 1949, Mercury stayed with the larger 5.5" bolt circle through 1950. Easy enough to do some measuring...
I'm the dirty dozen for the price of one...
