Lookin good.
If these are not D shafts, right below where the two shafts are welded together, drill a big enough hole through the outer sleeve and do a plug weld just for safety sake

Default rear-end

painted some on the frame today and getting ready to change the rear-slug/pumpkin out. the one that came in the car has a ovaled out yoke so the U-joints won't bolt in properly and seat flat. the way it is the drive shaft would spit itself out pretty quick the way it wobbled in the yoke.

luckily the pack rat in me saved the day again. l had a 1970 ford truck that we parted out a few years ago and it had a nine inch, so we saved it. the defective rear pumpkin gears were 3:OO's and the replacement one is a 3:5O non posi.

getting the brake lights to work is a challenge with the after market pedal. but the after market makes a solution for this. l got the style that will hook to the pedal itself so when the pedal travels it activates the brake lights.

Thumbs up progress

firewall is painted. the color is "0il Rubbed Bronze Satin Metallic"

motor all dressed up & no where to go.

next couple days putting the steering Coulomn in for the final time and getting stuff fabbed up for the brake light switch.

AND as always, the little odds & ends that seem to never stop showing up

Default trying to

want to get it done but still a slow go of it..

we got the steering buttoned up today. l used a old BMX bicycle aluminum goose neck for the coloulm drop. little modifying and it works great.

no place for a horn on the wheel so a push button on the dash and a aftermarket turn signal switch is the next stuff to hook up.

a real nice metal one that is a good quality turn signal was picked up at the swap meet and now it will have a good home
