All the photos that I post are of items that were sold as scrap at my place of employment, a metal recycling yard.. I try my best to save what I can, remember everything cost money and we get in a lot lot lot of stuff everyday.

Makes me sick inside... :(

Up here, stuff that's missing the bottom 6" of metal, broken frame, etc. sit in the weeds with owners expecting to get $2500-$3500 for it.

And, in the rust-free South, perfectly good stuff gets thrown away like the weekly trash. :(

Years ago i worked in the VW salvage yard in Albuquerque. I bought a Model A cab out of a barnyard in Cuba for $7 and stored it at the yard in Albq. I came back to get it after just a little too long and it had gone to the crusher.

I have about 7 of these starters, this one company rebuilds oilfield motors for compressors when it comes in for rebuild they replace everything good or bad ? I have'nt found a bad one yet.. [dr

It would crush me so see all those old cars meet a horrible end like that! Guess I'd start my own junk yard and try to save as many as I could! :D

Remember I do everything I can to SAVE what I can.. Dicussing the birth of this thread we chose not to say what survived and what didn't...:eek:
