So what took 20 years to get in his yard ? Someone have a change of heart ? Death ? His wife have enough of it ? Now that you've gained access, any idea what his prices are like ?

That's not an early EFI unit that's an early Holley/Ford 4-barrel on a Y-block manifold. Came on 50's passenger cars, mainly T-Birds!!! They called them "teapot" carbs. A real pain to tune, and used to catch fire very easily. I could use that manifold, though!!

He said, and i quote "i'll sell anything i got" The story goes, atleast the one i heard is, his father owned the yards since the 40s. When the gov't was seizing cars for scrap metal for the war effort he got ****ed off and pushed all the stuff in 3 seperate ravines. Ever since then he hasnt let any thing go.

Now the man is in a home(or passed on) and the son owns it.

My father was telling me that back in the '70s he use to build car crushers, and his company tried to take one of there mobile units into this yard to test it out. I am so glad the old man wouldnt let em in.

Cool pics, I would love to get my hands on some of that stuff. Don't take this the wrong way but I hate to see people hold onto stuff like that and let it go to waste. So much potential so many years ago...

I'm still interested though:D

Got some Bad news today. The guy that owns this yard asked a friend of mine for a phone # for a crusher team. I immediatly called this guy and left him a message, hopefully gonna get in there again this weekend.

If ya see something you want let me know, i'll see what he wants for it.

any updates?

heres a list of things I want/need

'32 Ford Grille (saw one in the picts bottom of page 1 3rd pict)
long bullet style headlights
Get a price on that Plymouth gauge clusters in one of your picts, I'd take that
16'' Ford steelie wheels

Another yard meets a sad demise. The local gov't got involved and forced this guy to clean out the yard. All you've seen here got scrapped.

Sorry for being the bearer of bad news.
