Here's my latest creation.I started with a 1979 surburban chassis.I shortened 17 inches, changed the rear axle with a 1980 model dually axle. The surburban wheel base was to wide for the fenders so I cut them in half and widened them 5 inches.I chopped the top 4 inches in the rear and 4.5 inches in the front.I shortened the bed 15 inches and dropped it down over the frame to give the truck the rake look I wanted. Now I plan on airbrushing the cab black and stripping that yellow off the black fenders to get the entire truck balck and rust.I'll post more pics later on this week. Thanks Dean

NICE![cl[dr You totally nailed the proportions.

Looks like you live on a farm that grows Advance Design Chevys, by what I saw in the background. Maybe even an S-truck or two...My kinda guy!

Shea:)

Here's what it looks like today. I built my paddywagon jail on the back and give the truck a little paint. The one photo is my photoshop version of the letters that will be painted on there next week. Also I will be adding my lights and siren speaker. It'll be my Outlaw Sheriff paddywagon when I get finished. wow! i love the widened fenders, and i am a dually freak too! i had thought of a simular build a while back, but my thoughts never looked as good as your build! keep the pics coming!!!![P[dr

Way cool ride. I can see that you are not into rear fenders, but I think some superwide rear fenders would be slick. You obviously have the tallent.

Here's a picture of what I started with on my paddywagon.1979 Suburban and a ol Chevy truck. The doors and fenders came off another project. As you can see in the pic I used the surburban front floor pan. Dean

Your panel truck deserves a bit of recognition, too. [cl I did a similar project with a '56 Chev panel years ago. 77 GMC 3/4-ton chassis and drive train. it actually sat lower than the stock panel truck.

Here's the latest pic of my build. Lettered the door and made a sheriff's badge for it.I added the rear bumper and put the original boards in the bed. I also added the taillight in shackles.More later.
