Hey all,

Wanted to share some pics of my latest build with all of you.
I is a 1926 Hudson pickup body...well one that someone made out of a two door sedan probably sometime during the war. Custom stepped frame(2x3), the top was cut off to make it a roadster, Air springs, 9" and a 302GMC I6.

Enjoy the pics,

Nice job on the intake, the cycle mufflers are a real nice touch ! [cl

Thanks. Its actually pretty quiet, bone stock Harley slash cut mufflers. I plugged the ballance tube port with a soft plug. I got the pipes from a buddy who worked at the local Harley shop. Guys would buy a brand new bike then have louder pipes installed.

Hudson

Looks like you got things in hand on that truck build! I'm particularly interested because I'm building a '29 Hudson Essex Coupe. This was also somebodies cast off. Rough shape, but I'm tinkering with it. Hard to find parts for it though. I am really in need of both doors. I only have one that is correct for car but that is bad rotten. :( The other side door is from an earlier year and has different character lines. I don't have bags, transverse spring on front with solid axle from '49 Ford F1, and coils with captive shocks on rear. IF I ever get it done and on the road it should cause some headscratching [S from folks wondering what it is! :) perley

Finally getting back to my rear ladder bars.

Got it all welded up and tacked one side to the axle. Hoping to get the other side tacked and my Air Bag mounts built next time I get out there.[;)

Had a heck of a time figuring out what tho use for the hardware for the pearches. I couldnt fit a wrench in to hold a bolt head. Considered Allens, but I found this Bolt plate set from a ford E350 cross member.

So I cut it in half and it dropped right in and the tab reacts against the perch so the nut could be tightened.
