Default 50s Ford F1 Build

Figured I would start a build thread, here is day one of disassembly. Hoping to have everything removed sometime next week so I can start taking measurements for the frame build.

The funny ford engine in the engine bay? ;P

Anyone want/need a flathead 6?

The plan is to run a T5 ford behind it, I picked one up a couple days ago, rebuilt world class T5, Hurst shifter for $250 from a 92 GT.

I'm contemplating a mustang rear axle assembly, including the suspension trailing and locating arms, coil springs...

Hemi will get taken apart as soon as I grab a compression tester from a friend, I want to see how good/bad it really is before deciding on how much time/money will need to go into the motor _right_ now.

Tonight was night 3 on disassembly, below are the pics from day 2, 3.

I decoded the VIN to see that the truck is in fact a 49 1/2 ton F1.

Still sorting out the assembly method of the front springs, the front shackle is not coming apart easily. I think one of these front springs or maybe one of the rears with a couple leafs removed will likely become my transverse front spring

Current Plans:
Hemi 331, T-5 Trans (with adapter)
Minimal rebuild if I can get away with it.
Looking for a 4 barrel intake & carb
Custom frame
Stock front axle & steering, Disc brake conversion
Rear axle Fox body mustang, and locating arms & trailing arms coil springs.
