July 2010 picked up cab and frame for $50.00. Always wanted to do a chop. for 50 If I messed up no big deal. Will post more pics of the build. But here is some start and to date pics. 3" chop 10" raise in the floor. 79 f150 frame 42 moline tractor parts (Please give me a break, I was 4 months in before I found out someone was doing a 51 w/moline grill [S )

Everythings been done before.... so what? That's gonna be a small cab! Any way to cut more off the front horns? Ive been thinking about using a F150 IFS front end, but haven't figured out how to get away from the coil springs.

this isnt going into any detail but what about quarter eliptical or t bucket style springs?
 
Some front end work

Would of liked a nice spring over but on a $0 budget going with what I got.

I was thinking bags once. but my wife told me $500 was my budget so that went out the door.

Some cab cuts

You can see where I cut up the posts for the 3" chop, I wanted to keep a full window. Had to rebuild the posts. Laid the window back 3". I cut the back at the body line under the window. Every thing line up good, only down fall is I have to narrow the door a 1/4"[;)

Some floor work

I used the peices I cut off the bed to make the floor pan. used 10" 16 ga track from work for the kick panels (Hope the boss doesn't read this:eek:) I got ahead of myself on the stering wheel and had to move it up.

Narrowed the bed about 6". added rear pocket. Added frame for floor.

Cold air intake for heater, moline air intake. Moline pedals. Hand clutch from moline in linkage. and hood.

build stats to date

I'm up to date on pic's for this truck. have not work on it for 3 months because of my other truck (can see a couple pics on my intro, newb for the GJ CO) but quick run down of stats to date
7200 psi gas
50 lbs wire
35 grinding wheels
4 grinders
3 pairs welding gloves
2 pairs of pants (because of fires)
1 trip to hospital for stitches
endless hours
I broke my camera
