plans are c-notch front and rear. 4 links and bags front and rear. 20's frame on ground. the v8 but nothing major on horsepower just clean the intake up, egr delete and long tube headers for some good noise. using the cougar 4r70w auto trans

lotta work

i paid 300 for the cougar. sold the wheels and tires for 100. prolly a 100 in scrap and 50 for the rear end so ill get close to even on that. i cut off the radiator core support and am going to yank the motor and trans as one straight out the front. hopefully have it gutted by next weekend.

Hey, you're on your way there "Lurker Dude" :D The '51-52's are some of my favorite Ford trucks too. Sounds like you have it planned out pretty good, keep us posted on your progress.

well now i have the whole front end off the cougar. im pulling the motor and tranny straight out since i dont have a lift at home and i dont plan on splitting the two. i took off the belt, pulleys, intake, cut the the exhaust. did alot but alot more to do. dont need pics of that stupid crap though.

cut the core support and pull the engine/trans straight out the front. easy peasy

fits like a glove but its going to give me fits with the headers. i wanted long tubes real bad but i may sell on shortys so they fit down the frame rails.

couldnt get better but im going to raise it up a bit with a spacer. that should help the long tube issue.

now im looking for a trans mount. i dont want it solid. but i only have 2 inches from tail shaft top to cab floor so i need to cut the crossmember and make another lower.

got the cab off with brockett and nate. prolly weighs 300 pounds. now i need a mount on my crane so i dont have to keep calling them every time which may be a bunch. now i need furniture dollies to get it off the blocks.
