63 corvair

Hi everyone. I am in the process of building a 63 corvair coupe on a s10 frame.
Here is what I have done so far...

I have to get some updated pics of the s10 chassis. I just shortened it and just need some steering components and a drive shaft to finish it off. I will get some more pics by the end of the week. Thanks for checking out my project.

Nice Project

I saw a corvair on S10 chassis a while back at show in North Myrtle Beach.It looked like it was stock until you noticed it had a trunk.Corvair and S10 chassis go well together.Also saw S10 chassis under 1962 ford falcon at run to sun 2008.They seem to work great on just about everything.

Update

Got some more pics of the chassis and the progress on the body.

Removed the headliner

Removed the rear insulator and trim. Along with the rear windows and regulators.

Found a nice mess of mice

87 350 on frame with turbo 400 trans

Rearend installed

Frame shortened 10 inches and awaiting welding.

Update

Got some more progress on the car this weekend. Got her to my parents garage, stripped the chassis and underside of the corvair and got her placed on the s10 frame. Then started cutting and fitting her into place. Still got a ways to go but so far so good.

Hope to get the rest of the cutting down this week and neaten up the cuts. gonna have to channel the floor a bit too I think.

A little more...

Cut out the rest of the floor and trimmed the trunk area. Got her almost sitting where I need her to be. Gonna put 4 inch lowering blocks in the rear to get her down the rest of the way.

Hoping to get the lowering blocks soon so I can level her off and start making the new floor and body mounts. Thanks for the comments.

Nice! That thing should move pretty well and it is unique. Only thing better would be a big block.
