Default 1935 vintage modified turned street legal race car 0R here we go again

a vintage modified is a modern oval track chassis with a 1948 or older body.

this car has wilwood four wheel disc brakes, 3-link rear suspension with ford 9 inch, 198O camaro front clip with all trick parts, nasty SBC 35O and manual trans.

several of my friends seen the vintage race car l am putting together and wanted one, this one is being done for one of the friends but he wanted a car like they race today, not like mine built in the spirit of the 196O's and this one was raced all over the NW for the last 6 years.

this one should not take long, not a lot of reworking like we had to do on mine, basically lights, turns signals, horn, street legal tires and titled & licensed leaving the paint alone so that should about do it.

You know that you're going to end up with 10 to 12 of those running around and you're going to end up having to put on an exhibition race at the local track

Going to even it up, or leave it all offset?

Default leave

my buddy who were building the car for likes the offset look, so it will stay the way it is, which is good, makes less work for me.

these cars are alot of work to do so any time l can not re-invent the wheel is fine by me

Default today

we got the door off to be able to get inside to work on the seat and put in the brake pedal switch. big ol'e plate to keep debris from getting thru the door panel into the driver.

there was about 2OO pounds of lead we had to remove, those circle track guys sure like there ballast.

went to the semi truck store and found sequential cool looking turn signal and brake light L E D 12' X 2' bar lights and L E D running/tail lights.
