Talking 1928 maxwell/hybrid rat rod drag car

the 1967 dart is on the auction block, replaced by this one as the drag car, the title is a 1928 maxwell so that is what it shall be,

totality not expecting to get the chassis, BUT price was way way to good to pass up.

was running and driving, the guy who had it pulled the motor & tranny 0NLY

brakes are killer, 5:13 ford nine inch spool, wiring, headers, fuel tank, the red chassis is miles ahead of THIS as far as getting it done for race season.

radiator moving to the front, big ugly looking black bar is going.

of course, SBC, auto and a roadster theme.

cowl idea; make or use a 1928-1930'S style cowl

rear end sheetmetal; back half of the metro that is cut up to bad for anything but parts.

doors; still a ways off as what to do

when is stuff gonna stop following me home

Don't give up, it's far too much fun once you can drive it.

Lightbulb started

rough mock up, some trimming & fitting, some sheet metal work, ya know the usual, but the idea is somewhat visual now.

if l plan correctly there is lot of tire room to clear the QT panels

should be able to move the panels about 3 or 4 inches foreward, have to straighten out the bottom rear bar, it is bent out about 3 inches, little "heat" surgery will fix it right up.
