Sorry Yankee, I worded my last post clumsily. I didn't switch gas tanks, I switched gas tank switches. I have two tanks on that truck and the electric switch to change donor tanks died so I put a new one in. Otherwise, we're doing similar stuff, working our to-do-lists.

This week-end I'm getting ready to realize one of my Christmas presents, packing a suitcase to go to the Pomona swap-meet next Sunday. This is pretty exciting for me,[dr[dr[dr even though I know I'll never see all of the stuff there. :(

I miss the Pomona Swap Meet. My old man used to take me there when we lived in Riverside. Haven't been there in years. Bring lots of money, just in case.

We got snow all day yesterday, Dozer so you may be getting it soon. I have not shoveled or plowed any snow yet this winter, but pretty soon I will.
Last weekend I walked the Pomona swapmeet ----- and survived. What caught my eye was a three deuce intake manifold for a wide block poly 318 and a three deuce intake for a Y-block Ford with the carbs, linkage, and plumbing. My only purchase was an embroidered Dodge Brothers badge. It'll look good sewed onto my cap, I think.

I tried to cut my right index finger off when a cutoff disk exploded while trying to cut brackets for some 6-9 speakers I installed on the 31. Grabbed the roll of paper towels and wrapped it up like a mummy with masking tape and finished the job. Later that evening I shot pool with it too. My partner and I only got beat one game all night, so everything is alright....:D

Looks like time for SUPERGLUE.....just kiddin' glad it wasn't worse....

"Blood-Sweat&Tears"

I had the same thing happen but it stuck in chin, 6 stitches worth. :D

On the brighter side, even with the blood thinners for the heart, my old body can still heal itself. I only got stitches one time in my life and I think I suffered more from the stitches than the cut itself. As long as I can control the bleeding, it doesn't bother me anymore...
If I don't leave some of me on my project, I probably didn't work on it....:D

I also have to be a little more careful in the shop, because of blood thinners.

Today I put a new brake booster in the '55 Mercury pickup, but I didn't check it because I couldn't start the dang thing.

A couple of days ago the Overhead Door guys came out and fixed the big spring on my roll-up door. It had been not installed properly and the spring anchor was only lag-bolted to the particle board and not a wall stud.

I got absolutely nothing done on my projects this weekend ! It was going to be a cold, dreary weekend and they were offering as much overtime at work as any of us wanted, so I worked on both of my days off.........got in 58 hours this week. More money for chrome parts ! :D

We wanted to paint Dons new motor that came back from the race shop, I even picked up the Imron and primer, but, again, too cold to do it. One good thing about Florida, it doesn't last very long before it warms up again.

Don

Just for grins Don, tell us what you Floridians call cold. 45? 50?

I took my mother to Red Lobster for her 88th birthday Sat. and upheld
my reputation of being a slug the rest of the weekend.
