I originally was going to do an FE motor I was looking 352 or 390, but parts are expensive on them. Recently I came across a 302 and c4 tranny for free, so i'm gonna go with the small block idea and just beef up the motor.

The engine in my car hasn't ran in about 30 years. I got it running but the 4th cylinder isn't firing and keeps fouling out the plug. I believe the rings are stuck I heard that was an additive I could put in the gas tank to help free the rings up, but I don't name the name of it.

289ci w/c4 tranny. Edelbrock performer rpm intake and 4 barrel edelbrock 650cfm carb. Has shorty headers and upgraded to electronic ignition.
what are you putting over it? make sure you put a sound dampener over the metal. Actually if you go the tech page on here there is a good thread about a cheap alternative to dynamat.
