    Bending 6X2X1/8 Rectangular Tubing

Bend it with sand I know you already got it but here's one more way. Weld a cap on one end of the tube, then fill and pack the entire tube with sand. Word of caution: the sand must be absolutely dry, bake it in the oven. Once full, cap off the other end. Create a form using plywood to bend your...

    Old barn find

I must've skipped some of the posts, KEYSWITCH got it, its an acetylene generator. Carbide is placed in the large bottom tank and the top is filled with water, as it drips down and reacts acetylene gas is produced. Acetylene is used by many of us today as a fuel in our cutting torches but also...

    Old barn find

So far no winners. Good guesses though, I like the bug zapper idea but I'm a little worried if I need something that big to kill bugs. It'd be like the old black and white horror movies. I was just thinkin' (everyone duck and cover) if anyone gets it right I'll send 'em a prize. I got all sorts...

    Old barn find

I've had this for awhile. I already know what it is but i thought I'd put it here to see if anyone else does. And has anyone seen one in action or have an idea of how to operate it? I think it'd be cool to see it work.

    Eastwood Bead Roller

RAT IHC, your beadroller looks like crap, no offense to you personally. I bought a roller from Eastwood about 3 or 4 maybe 5 years ago. Gear contact is tight, no loose bolts or sloppy holes. It even says made is USA. Sounds like their quality has gone downhill.

Idea for DIY upright style grille shell

    TABOO! Rust removal

Just tried this out today, started small with a carb hat full of water and a little baking soda, a rusty bolt and a small piece of scrap. Within an hour most of the rudt was gone and a quick swipe with a wire brush (I pulled the bolt out to check it) reinvigorated the process. I was so pleased I...

Dark Horse Garage - CNC Plasma Cutting

I've owned and operated a small shop in southwest Kansas for five years now. I do a little bit of everything and I'm now offering services in CNC plasma cutting. There's not much that I haven't cut, axle trusses, beadlock rings, brackets, license plates and frames, club plaques, name plates...
