    1952 Chevy 1 ton axle brakes...

    Spindles are diffferent. You'll have to source a different axle and spindles. I know its not the same, but on my 3/4 ton-had to put 1/2 ton axle and spindles on it to convert to disc.

    3" Drop Axle with Cross Steering Setup

    Sid must have not done enough Dodges yet, On a Chevy/Ford-he offers to bend down the sterring arms to align everything properly with the dropped axles. He does some excellent work also, BTW.

    Hello all, been lurking for a while, finally joined up. Got an '49 Chevy 3600, keeping it straight 6. So far have rebuilt entire front end with an 4" stretched axle, power disc brakes, upgraded tie rods, gas shocks, 2 leaves removed from leaf pack, 15" smoothies powder coated red with 3" ww's...

    mini-NAPA-rant

    It is a shame that none of these places depend on the old 'books' any longer. They can only look up a part by year, make, and model. I usually say '49 chevy truck, '54 chevy 235 engine, '00 blazer rear end, '88 s10 T5 tranny, 80's chevy disk brakes....you should see the confused looks I get...
