be polite and tell them who you are and why your stopping. BTW, it does help if you say your from around there, dont get into any details, change subject if it gets deep. if they say its not for sale, say thank you and be nice. go back in 2 months and ask if they thought about selling it...

have only seen a few of these and couldnt believe my eyes when i seen it. these things look cool and its cool to think that a big truck company "went there" with their design.

i will be taking the fenders off this one for the other resto project willys. the fenders on the other one have a lot more rust. if i put the others on this one is how i will decide and i will have to see they will look after modified. i was thinking of moving the fenders out front with the axle.

thanks guys, the paint looks like that from low quality of pic. i am going to run the original engine for a few reasons, 1-engine runs great and it would be a shame to let it sit it the floor, those enignes really run like sewing machines! 2-the flat head six looks cool and adds to the look...

the previous photos i posted work sometimes and other times have red Xs. here is the progress of the willys roadster so far. the cardboard is a template of the door style im using. i dont want to cut up the door i got cause i will use it for my other willys im restoring.

the rims look a lot like duece and half wheels they have that same bolt pattern

yeah, the guy i bought it from did that, but it will work out to chop the pillars because when i cut the middle of the top, i wont have to fab up a curved peice, just weld some flat sheet metal up there.

i think you should add a rumble cooler! instead of a seat.
