you guys are awsome!! it works went out to the junkyard, measured and it is exactly the same. I found a 77 Ford F150. perfect. now all I have to do is figure out how to remove it. I know there's info about that somewhere.

Can you explain why smaller ranger won't work? Mounting points too narrow or wide?

Yes I do mean the smaller ranger. Was thinking about the 80-90a model. I know it mounts differently but can it go on the outside of axle. Since it is a twin I beam I figured maybe. If maybe an f150 then would that work?

I have been looking for a while but cannot find any info on if it is even possible. I know that they mount differently but can the ranger spindles be mounted the same as the stock spindles? What are the dimension differences of 52 spindles and newer ranger spindles as far as mounting it to the...

Been real busy on the home front not busy on the truck front. Been rethinking how it's put together. Gonna redo some things, framework I am going to order new mounting hardware for the front suspension, plumb the bags with copper instead if plastic tuning. Looking at getting an old school bus...

i guess my thoughts were not clear, I'm thinking along the lines of a dictionary. maybe with pictures illustrating how many different ways to customize a rat rod. I know its almost limitless but I figured kind of fun to think of.

by asking this I mean examples like chopping, channeling, sectioning, and so on.

ok today I am flipping the rear section of the frame. first I leveled, then marked, followed by cutting. I flipped it as shown but cut out the brace for the e-brake cable, maybe a bad idea, not sure yet. I just finished welding the seam, not too bad for a vertical weld. next up grind, grind...

i have been thinking about the exact seem thing. will do it shortly maybe this weekend. if your not in a big hurry you may see my mistakes and learn what not to do. lol
