I used a 70's dodge dart box for mine.It is aluminum, it is the correct rotation already. I extended the shaft 8" and made a new arm. It seems to work fine.

Burnout, I just put a BBC in my rod. I changed to a short water pump and bought a set of sinngle pulleys on e-bay. I got a short low mount alternator pump there too.Yeah, they are billet but a little black paint goes a long way. I didn't have enough room for the lwp on my car. Good luck.

I belong to all 3. All have their good and bad posters. I try to enjoy the finer poiints of all three. As for all the ---holes, they are everywhere and good comedy is hard to come by. Lets get those rat rods out here on the East coast.

I just used the HD brand in my rod. Works great. I'm going to paint it all black whenI'm done though...too shiney for my blood. One thought though, make sure you don't need to remove it though cause it's gonna be a pain to remove.

I use Rustoleum on my car and bike. If you want a little sheen use satin black. The good thing about rustoleum is it is a paint, not a primer. I reduce it with straight laquer thinner about 33%. I shoot it with a Harbor Freight hvlp gun. $25.00 paint job.

I had 28 holes of various sizes on my firewall. I used a piece if 1/4 inch copper plate. I drilled it and tapped it for a 3" bolt..a handle. My son held it on the outside of the firewall while I mig'd the holes from the inside. The small ones needed nothing while some of the larger ones just...
