    some of our past builds

Love the nova. I had a 72 SS when I was young and stupid. Sold it for rent money on a first apartment so I could move in with my future ex-wife. Should have kept the car.

    Converter-lockup or not

A stall convertor will help. If the motor is basically stock but the cam I would not use a lock up. The lift that cam has probably means it has a long duration also and the motor needs to rev to make any power. With the convertor locked up the motor will lug trying to maintain highway speeds. In...

    34 Chevy 5 window roadster

Made a little more progress today. I got the cowl mounted and the floor bracing all done for the drivers side. It's almost time to get out the woodworking tools out. I am thinking of building a custom rounded bench seat with a console that will hold the ignition switch and other controls along...

    67 Comet

I think I read some place that only around 9600 caliente models were made in 67. Compare that to over 100,000 GTO's and you would think it should be worth some thing some day;)

Not as much muscle as I would like, but we will fix that later.

    34 Chevy 5 window roadster

Its all one unit. Kinda like a unibody. This car is going to be like a go-cart on steroids. I had thought about rubber body mounts and bolts, but this way will help to stiffen everything up with the big motor twisting on it.

Built homemade shifter bracket for my 47

Shifter looks way cool. Probably a real long throw on that one.

    34 Chevy 5 window roadster

Well it's been a year full of new house chores and a couple vacations and I had drifted away from the build. I have found the ambition to get back at it. I got the motor put together the way i like it and am working on the floor now. Here are a couple pics of the progress.

    First fire up YEEEE HAAAA

Thanks again for all the positive comments. I seemed to drift away from this project over the summer and reading the replies has refueled me to put in the time and effort to get it done. I am about 80% done and hope to finish (like they are ever finished) by memorial weekend.

    First fire up YEEEE HAAAA

I am looking at using a timing chain and gears to drop it low enough. I have a manual rack and pinion mounted to the axle so I need a slip joint in there some place also. I hope that setup will remove bump steer.

    First fire up YEEEE HAAAA

1971 460 stock bottom end, ported DOVE C heads, comp cams thumpr cam and lifters, Edelbrock torker 460 intake, edelbrock 750 cfm carb, MSD ignition. No idea on horsepower or torque, but it should be just about enough.:)
