You are a good husband indeed! if you really want that V-8 in there, look at a company called Monster Miata, they do kits to plug in a 302 / t-5 combo in that car and it's pretty much a bolt in. Can't wait to see more progress on the truck!
Looks like you have been busy. But it's all going to be worth it in the end. You obviously made it better! it's so cool to see how people in other parts of the world build their rods and enjoy the hobby! Keep hammerin on it, son!
Nice job on the chop, and the wiring looks really good! nice and neat. Was wondering, what kind of wheel are you running and what are the sizes?
Thanks for Showing off the build!
instead of a black grille insert why not take a page from the original idea. shoot the grille shell, wheels and maybe the frame bright white or antique white. the small bits of contrast will make the parts stand out and the orange pop. you can use white silver and black pinstripes to accent...
Really liking the build. I do have one suggestion. instead of using the plastic fender flares, have you thought about using a metal fender. I know someplaces like Tractor Supply sell a sqared off trailer fender that is real close to the willy's fenders. you could buy one, split it and put on...
OK. I am gonna throw my 2 cents in here. How about checker-boarding the fire wall with satin black then using a satin black stripe to fill in the crease in the belt line. Black out the wheels and then some simple striping on the back, with maybe a logo or lettering on the lower cowl. subtle...
I would try to flip it first , but if not I would pull the flat bed off and shorten the frame and put a 70's dually bed on it. if you can't find a dually bed, then use a regular bed with the step side fenders. that's pretty much what they used in the 70's I bet you would sell it after that...
Great shots there Rattle can, thanks for taking the time to share them!
No Limits. I must give you props for the unique use of the 60's ford truck front fenders for the bed. turned out good! can't wait to see the truck finished.

Nice Grab indeed.
Looks real similar to one a friend of mine has. it was his dad's but he got it when he lost his dad to cancer several years back I remember when his dad bought his. it was a small block car, i believe it was a 307. his dad build a nice 454 and tubbed it, it spent sometime...
Just saw this build, pretty cool idea definitely thinking out of the box. speaking of box. you were playing with the front fenders as the bed sides. you mentioned that you were going to have to fill in the gaps on the front edge to make the lines match up. Why not flip the fenders. put the...
Mr. Gusset, is that an old navy truck? some of those trucks looked like theyn were put together by grade schoolers. esp. things like mounting the wheels and some body work. hope that one was a good one.
^^^^ I like the thought. If you want you take and separate the fender lip at the body line and then shape it to the Wheel and add some patch pieces in the void. could make it tighter than the truck fender.
Just an idea.
Great build I will be watching this one.
