    Stash

We recently shipped a fresh 270 Dodge from Central Oregon to the Detroit MI area for a grand total of $250 through Fastenal. If you call the corporate number ask for someone in 3PL (third party logistics). .

I agree, great way to get-r-done![;)

    DR plasma cutter

I have a couple of portable units in the shop that make 6.4 at 90psi but they are kinda big. Since most of my equipment is a bit 'old' (not unlike me), I just wondered if something newer might be in the market place that was smaller. Thanks.

    DR plasma cutter

Until I started looking, I had considered a smaller unit so I could put everything on a cart...the smallest unit that I found with 6.4 is quite large, at least for a cart, so was just wondering what you guys were using. Looks like I'll plumb into the shop air.

What are you guys using for air? Plumbed into your shop air or using a dedicated compressor? I just unpacked my cut50 and the literature says 6.4cfm and 100psi. That is a fair amount of air to provide.

Great information guys! Time to order one.

Now this is something to take a closer look at. A guy shouldn't expect too much from a $300 machine but we can hope. Get that sucker set-up and report back, pronto!!![cl

    I.F.S.

The crown is too wide and the shiverlay is waaay too narrow. A first gen Dakota should be closer and has the proper bolt pattern.

...and nobody has mentioned the 324 inch Chrysler/DeSoto...shame on ya'.... And yes, we do make an adapter for them....

Anybody using a 5.7 and made it look good?

...looks are in the eye of the beer-holder... They may not be a 'real' Hemi, but they can make gawd-awful amounts of HP so it will be a trade off. Or, I'll sell ya a real Hemi and you can collect atta-boys every time you open the hood....step right up, what's your pleasure?

    Miller Welder

I'll echo Sunnybeach on the welding table. Laying out crap on the garage floor is hard on the back, however, much depends on how much space you have and how big the project is...... If nothing else, build a small table and put casters under it so you can move it around.

    Dodge Hi-Fire

...glad that somebody cleared that up...... The Hy-Fire name was typically used on the Plymouth 260 (some say 259). Essentially the same as the 241 and the 270 but all have different bores and usually too far apart to safely bore without a sonic check. The head design is virtually the same as...

    2000 Dodge Dakota Electrical Donor

There are a couple of guys making harness pieces for such a swap but they are not cheap. Check the moparts forum for additional info.

    1990 jaguar xj6

The 'usual' or 'preferred' Jags are the 1987 and earlier if you are talking suspension. The 1990 is the model XJ-40 and it has several design changes from the Series III that do not make it easy, or practical, to use for swapping. The Series III ended in early 1987 and is easily identified by...

    392

His asking price seems to be on target but doesn't leave a lot of margin if you need to sell it. The engine in Florida is an excellent buy.
