What is a good starting starting point to set caster at on a straight axle

i have a 2.8 liter v 6 and a five speed trans that i can put in my 50 f-1 truck,its gonna be no fenders,short bed,im having a problem with the coolnes factor,need some opinions,should i keep looking for a 8 or just use it
