made a welding table the other day

Well I've had to take a break on building my truck since I'm still getting a few parts to start making my frame. But I needed a welding table. I've been telling myself to build one for a couple of years now, but now I finally had a reason to build one. I still need to put my casters on the...

Ok got a little done today. I started cleaning the 14 bolt cab and chassis dually rear end I picked up Tuesday. I got the spring perches and shock mounts off real fast thanks to a good ol' plasma cutter [cl gotta love those things. Then I spent about 4 hours with grinding disk, flap disk, and...

I hadn't thought about how much easier it would be to do all the interior work with a full size cab. Thats why I love this site. Thanks, I guess I'll go ahead and pull the engine and tranny out of my other truck and start a frame mock up.

I'll have to wait on the windshield frame. People like them way to much for my wallet right now. I'm going to get my narrow dually rear end with 3.73 tomorrow. Need to get some parts together to convert it to disk. Finals will be over May 4th so hopefully I can really get rolling on the chop...

Im sure you might have seen this but, opinions?

I think it's cool. I might not have much pull with my thoughts since I'm new to rats but not cars (well trucks). You can def tell he brought ideas over from the mini truck scene (which I'm not a part of whats so ever) but I like it. Yeah I might of went a different way with the wheels but...

sorry it's been a while since I got to work on the truck. It's the end of the semester so all my professors feel like they all need to cram test and projects at the last minute. I'm going on Tuesday to pick up a 14 bolt cab and chassis dually rear end. I've been working on getting the...

I bought a torch the other day it's just a slow process but oh well. I ordered some clutch head bits today so that might help as well. And Dad just said I could go right ahead and use the engine and tranny, all I have to do is go pull it out, score. A local transmission shop said around...

Need help finding a guy that made cowl panels

Ok so a couple of weeks ago I found a guy that made lower cowl replacement panels for 41-46 chevy trucks. Naturally I didn't write the website down and now I can't remember what it was. I'm pretty sure I saw it on this forum, if any one knows who it was can you please let me know. Thanks

Also a little teaser for yall. I think I know what engine, tranny and rear end I want to run....I have a ZZ383 gm engine and build 700R4 in a old truck my dad owns I am thinking about talking him out of. The only problem is the 700 is a 4x4 so I am going to call a few transmission shops to see...

    mid 40's chevy truck

Yeah I already braced the bottom of the cab before I took the body mounts off. I plan and bracing the rest of the cab before I do any cutting at all. Right now I am fighting windshield frame screws....and they are winning, but I will beat them eventually. Honestly I'm not sure if the frame is...

    mid 40's chevy truck

I'm thinking of just doing 5" all around or 5 in the back and 5 1/2" in the front because I'm going for the raked look. On the A pillar they will be square but do they need to be parallel with the ground? On your second picture it looks like they aren't parallel with the ground, they look like...

My question is on the A pillar do I need to cut it like that or make it straight in line with the rear cut (flat)
