    Upholstery patch?

    Anybody ever sew a patch over a rip in a cloth seat without removing the seat. I took mine to a pro and he said it's impossible, can't be done. I can get matching material and I'd just like to sew a patch on it. Anybody ever do it like that? any tips or ideas? I'm not looking for perfection...

    Nice Falcon! I have a Vintage Tempest that I've been nursing back into operation after a long sleep. Some evenings for a test drive it I like to run it up Rt. 81 towards the NY/PA border to blow the cobwebs out.

    yeah, glad I did too, there are sooo many interesting threads to catch up on.... phew! Just wish I had a thimble full of the knowledge, skill and talent I see around here.

    Well, I learned to drive on the first one, (10speeds forward 3reverse), wish I still had it. found the second one in a barn & had to have it. Nice California Patina on #3 the white convt. #4 it's a Borgward, what can I say. #5 is my most recent barn find it's covered with an amazing patina...
