    Welded rear axle?

Awesome response guys. I had to assume the weld and sleeve thing was about the only way it would work at all. The article talked about the rail being built out of pipe with a home made clutch can and an rear end out of an ambulance or something. Early hemi, log manifold and nitro. Wow! Thanks...

    Welded rear axle?

OK, so I know about welding spider gears but I recently read an article in Hot Rod magazine about an old "barn find" dragster and they referred to cutting and welding the axle shaft when narrowing the rear end. They said the fellow didn't want to spend the money for the local machine shop to...

Anybody know the part no. for a rebuilt GM one wire alternator. I know some industrial applications used it. Just looking to get a rebuilt one at the local NAPA, O'Reilly, etc. Thanks![;)

    Sand Blaster Question.

I found a post on here where someone did just that. All new/larger fittings and valves, said it made it a completely different machine. Anybody know anything about Blast Master/ Barrel Blaster. Claims to be an all American made product. Looks good.[;)

    Sand Blaster Question.

Question, I have a small, hand held blaster and it works good for little stuff. I want to get a bigger one to use with a cabinet. A friend had one of the large HF pressure feed ones and it never really worked at all. Had a gravity feed one at school when I was in high school, it really worked...

    Mid 40's International

I have front and rear fenders from a 49 KB-1 International. They are left over from when I built my rat. If you want them they are all yours. I'm a little less than an hour from St. Louis in Il. I've got the bed and tailgate too if you can use any of it.[;)

    Summit cams

Used the Summit cam kits in 3 SBC builds with good results. If you are looking for the " lumpy " idle sound not so good. Decent idle because of a wide LSA, at least on the two grinds I have used.[;)

    Parallel frnt leaf springs question

I have read that when setting up parallel front leaf springs they should not be perfectly parallel but slightly narrower at the front. This is to prevent axle side movement. After reading this a couple of times I checked the springs on my 49 IH KB-1 and sure enough, they were. The holes in the...

    Gasser "REAR" suspension question.

Thanks Bama! That is a slick idea. allowing two different arcs for the two different lengths. Looks like I will be going with a 302/C-4 combo. Got a 1971 302/ C-4 out of a Torino/Fairlane. All original components, never opened up and very little wear. Plus-FREE![;)

    More Gasser Axle ?'s

Is there a good pick for a set of junkyard springs for a Gasser, parallel leaf set-up? Thanks![;)

    Gasser front axle question.

Makes sense. My 49 IH rod has shackles in the front with the steering box behind the axle and my old Dodge snow plow is the opposite, both factory setups. The Falcon will be a cross steer with a drop pitman arm.[;)
