    34 pick 'em up truck.

The bed depth is only 18 inches. We left the legs on the bottom not knowing how we are going to mount it to the frame. It's just sitting on the back of the truck right now. I did take a quick look on the web at some pics... I never really notices how low on the back of the cab they did sit.

The frame is actually sitting on jack stands right now. The rear is just sitting under it. the front has a 3 inch drop axle and I'm going to take some leaves out of it. It will be coming down :D

Okay so today me and my dad built the structure for the bed of the truck... I had picked up some one inch square tubing from the scrap pile at work and today it got used. We build a jig to make sure we had good square 90 degree corners and to make sure everything was in the right place...

    Rookie Mistakes?

I'm not new to building cars either... but this is my first scratch build. So far it's been a lot of fun, but I have been fortunate to run into some great deals on parts and such. I have a few stories too. When I was a much younger i was hot rodding a 1939 LeSalle 2 door sedan. had dropped a...

Anyone care to post their rookie mistakes... or the things that sidetrack builds? I know it doesn't happen often but maybe some of us new guys can learn from your mistakes and keep on track. ?? Thanks

    34 pick 'em up truck.

good day... So yesterday was a good day... I was talking to a friend of mine, who is also a hot rodder, and ended up swapping my AA frame and a few bucks for a full blown 1934 frame. It came out of a hot rod he had parted out a long time ago. Has the 350 motor mounts already installed...

    34 pick 'em up truck.

    34 pick 'em up truck.

I'm planning on a SBC, just 'cause that's what I'm most familiar with, either a 305 or a 350... (the last '72 nova I did, i picked up a complete 305 for 75 bucks) whatever I can dig up at a reasonable price. I have even considered a straight 6 just for something different. I have began work on...

    34 pick 'em up truck.

Okay... I'll get this build thread started. This is a 34 ford truck cab, on model AA rails, a'32 4 inch drop axle and an S-10 rear end. it's chopped 2.5 inches and stretched a full foot. I plan of enlisting my Dad (75) to help with this build and do it on a budget. I'll get some more pics up...

    Hello...

Yeah I'm not a little guy, and I fit okay... the cab is fiberglass, chopped 2.5 and stretched a foot. 6 inches in the door and 6 behind so it looks proportional. I hope the fiberglass thing isn't an issue here. I'd rather have a fiberglass hot rod than no hot rod. As for a build page, I'm...
