Hello All,

I'm a 47 year old father of two boys who has been working on cars & trucks for as long as I've been able. I found this site via a search engine and wasn't able to view some of your work without registering... so I thought I would.

I'm currently working on a '36 Sedan, something the whole family can take road trips in. So far it's been:
  • Channeled 3-1/4"
  • Chopped 3" (vertical measure)
  • 4dr turned 2dr (doors lengthened 9" for correct proportion)
  • Body shortened in rear 2-13/16" & rear wheelwells reshaped

It'll be a bit before this one hits the pavement, but that's ok. I enjoy the process.

' hope you're all having as much fun with this stuff as I am.

John

welcome

wow, l like it[cl what make is the body?

ya figured out the pic thing, too:D

l am doing a 30ISH dodge sedan, 4dr to 2dr conversion. l took 7'' or 8'' out, can't remember exactly, set it on a TCI style chassis and didn't do anything to the doors.

when ya do a build thread, please include a bunch of pics, we are a visual bunch.

Later

Welcome to RRR! Lots of CO guys on here.

Cool build. I like how you did the wheel wells. I'm guessing you shortened the body 2-13/16' because of the chop - instead of lengthening the roof?

Start a build thread and keep us posted. Very cool ideas.

Thanks for the welcome, guys!

Skull, It's a Chevy. ' was a Master Deluxe. I even have the original ignition & glove box keys, but haven't tried either of them in the door lock.

Sam_Fear, You nailed it. I didn't want to lean the back window fwd on this one, it would've killed the look, IMHO. I could've stretched the roof, but the little bit I moved the back didn't even take up the full package tray behind the rear seat. I've attached a couple of pics of my original 'cut' thoughts (none that I ultimately went with ;) ) & one that should be evident as to why I did what I did.

I'll do a build thread out of consideration for the board/group; but I've been keeping a gallery of images here for anyone who might be interested in the meantime.
