my son and i are building a 48 f-1 pick up. it will be traditional in design. body work and suspension is done, getting it ready for paint. motor is in the building stages, a 301 small block chevy, 5 speed, hydraulic roller thumper cam. my wife and i hope to drive it to speed week in bonneville in2011. also traded a nice 97 z-28 conv. for a 71 chevy c-30 ramp truck that was built new for a dealer in south ga. nice ride. we started a 51 f-1 ford rat rod pick up for my son. we welded up the chassis sat and sund. mounted the susp. but we have ran into a snag on the front. using the original axle, but want to make a quater elept. sring front suspension. any ideas?
