Hello all, as promised, here is the build thread (more of a build summary really).
A bit about the car...
The engine block is a 1972 ls5 two bolt main 454, .030" over
Brodix rectangular port BB2 heads
Comp cams hydraulic roller .557 lift
9.6:1 compression, forged pistons
forged crank and H beam rods
RPM airgap manifold
850 double pumper carb
lakester headers
aluminum flywheel
mesierre (sp?) electric water pump
500hp, 530 ft-lb torque on pump gas
Tranny is a 1975 super T10 built by Dave's 4speeds
Rear end is a 1999 mustang cobra 3.27 posi, fully rebuilt
I built the car with my dad in his personal machine shop (bridgeport, lathe, tig, etc...). The project started in November 2011.
I grew up racing motocross and karts (raced 125cc shifterkarts professionally), and we always made a lot of our own stuff and did our own engine work.
This car was my idea, I designed it, and led the project, with dad helping and advising.
