Transmission is out of a dually and I did install a B&M shift kit which helped shift points and firmness a lot. I did the street/strip version of shift kit, supposed to be harder shifting but the tranny shifts really fast from 1st to 2nd but the 2nd to 3rd shift is at a good rpm and seems fine. I also installed a 2400 rpm stall converter. If i manually shift it from 1st to 2nd the shift feels very firm and positive.
thanks

When you install a TH-400 in a vehicle that never had one, you need to go to "LOKAR" and check them out. They have the "KICK DOWN" mechanism you need.

I saw it this weekend on "POWERBLOCK"...
The reason for this is because the TH-400 did not come equiped with a "Detent" / "Kickdown" cable that attached to the valve body, therefore, the transmission has no idea how hard you are on the throttle.

Hope this helps.
