9:30 PM??? We never raced before midnight. Although that back in the 80's when common sense was way more common. We always had a look out too.

Racer were arrested for speed contest and spectators were cited for aid and abetting. Then an ordinance which allowed the Courts to order the racers cars crushed, was the nail in the coffin.
