Didn't get much done the rest of this week. My back was aching and yesterday I got my covid vaccine so my arm hurt today.
I did however, get the brake line from the master to the existing rear line.

I had to redo the double flare at the master for the be rear brakes. It leaked as soon as I put fluid to it.
Then on to the right front side. Removed the drums and got the caliper mount on. I'll put the bearing spacer on the spindle in the morning when it's 30° something. First I'll bake the spacer on the oven at 400° for 30 minutes. An appropriate sized pipe, socket and mallet will get it the rest of the way on.

I put the adapter on this morning. It's very similar to the original ball bearing race.
Discs and calipers on!

On the ground! Still need to bleed the brakes again. Still spongy and banjo fitting are not sealing well. Might need new crush washers.

Looking great [cl[cl
Isn't it funny that was once considered Grandpa's funky old wagon is now seen in a different light as being cool and a rolling piece of history that with a few tweaks, comes alive once again. Cars of this era had individual style and character that just doesn't exist anymore.

Yeah, I like the years where you can tell the year of the car just by looking at it. One year only styling,

Working on the seat covers since I'm frustrated with the brake lines leaking! 🤬 I think I got it fixed but need help bleeding them.
Put burlap on the springs after ripping off the old rock hard foam and yucky cotton?

Next I glued 2" foam to the burlap and trimmed it close to what I need.

Finally got the brakes figured out, I think! I haven't test driven it yet.
I needed to increase the pedal travel by about an inch. I thought I could get away with using the threaded rod adapter in the factory brake eyebolt. But I kind of thought it wasn't long enough. I needed to use the kit supplied clevis to increase the length. It needed modification first to fit. The bolt is there temporarily until a little more grinding.

Test drive tomorrow!
