In case you guys are wondering what takes me so long to build a car....I tend to get interrupted frequently (and I'm not good at saying "No"). The tenant that rents the majority of the farm keeps me busy with fixing some of his equipment. Here's the second wagon I've done for him. Seized king pin on the one front wheel, combined with a 150 hp John Deere....I think the control arms were rated for about 140hp....lol. I had to slice the sleeve that the king pin swivels in, chisel it open and then weld it back together. Straighten the control arms and its good to go. I have managed to get seat belts, carpet and the seat in my truck though, so I'm getting close! And yes, I'll be making a small carpeted panel to hide the top of the radio.

Thanks everyone. Pops, that seat is the second row seat out of a mid 2000's (I think) Cadillac SRX. Just a cheap pic n save acquisition that I had recovered. I wanted something with manual adjustment (DW is significantly shorter than I am), and the passenger side seat back folds flat and then rolls right over onto the floor to expose storage inside the seat pan. I am trying to get it the truck buttoned up over the next few days, at least "appraisal worthy" so that I can get some insurance on it and start debugging.
 
Thanks everyone. Everything is pretty much looking done, at least enough for appraisal tomorrow. Lots of fine tuning and finishing touches to work through yet, but at least I feel like I'm close!

Well, I'm getting closer, but doing the hot rod dance! I somehow managed to hook up the power steering lines backwards, so that sure didn't turn out well. I'm hopeful that I saved the rack before I blew the seals out of it. I spilled so much fluid everywhere getting the hoses corrected that I can't really tell if I have leaks or not! I'll know better in a day or two. There sure isn't much room down where the rack connections are so I bet I spent two hours trying to get the hoses corrected. I get them all sorted out and ready for a test drive and decided that the brake pedal was too soft for my liking....so I walked away. A good job for tomorrow. I got it as close as the door, and then pulled it back inside.

The right choice is to err on the side of safety. A day or two, one way or the other, isn't gonna matter in the drive time scheme.
