I'm working on our '41 Pontiac sedan again.
The plan is to install my 250 Chevy six with an automatic trans. I will rebuild the front brakes and change out the rear end for a newer, higher geared one. The stock bolt pattern is 5x5 so a late full size GM or 1/2 ton truck should work well.
The body is pretty solid but I will have some floor repairs to do. I want to run the stock wheels, hubcaps, and trim rings. Maybe some wide whites.

I found today, that, in my stash, I have a couple of sets of stock 15" steel wheels with the 5 on 5 pattern. I will paint up a set and put tires on them so I'll have the option of changing from time to time. Running the stock 16s with caps & rings, or the 15s and some cool full caps I have.

I will need to use a master cylinder from an early 70s F100 to get the outlets on the side away from the frame rail.

Our '40 Chevy sedan has a Mustang II ifs using the factory MII crossmember. The brake rotors and calipers are GM though. If I were to do it again, I'd stay old-school and use a 49-54 Chevy ifs.
My '55 Studebaker daily driver truck has no Ford parts though. It's on an '87 Dodge Dakota chassis and has a 4.3 Chevy V6 and Jeep Cherokee wheels.
My '56 F100 panel truck has Volare IFS and will get a 500 Cadillac engine and 8 3/4 Chrysler rear.

I will be using a two piece driveshaft, like a '58-64 Chevrolet car because the Pontiac has an x- member in the frame.
