Bantan Goes Outside

Believe it or not, today is the first day this car has been outside since I started building it 4 or 5 years ago. The accumulation of dirt, grease and overspray was immense. Squirted a powerful cleaner all over and rinsed with a power washer set on "take it easy". Then I washed it the normal way. It should be taken apart and repainted. But it won't, Not right now. I'm minutes away from trying to start it.
Therein lies a problem. Seems with advancing age I have developed a reluctance to fire a new engine. Afraid new problems will arise, I guess.
Anyway, here it is washed off but needing a deep cleaning.

It's alive!!! After 5-10 minutes of super tuning it started and ran. The Holley you see pictured spewed gas out of every possible place. I'll have to fix that. It's loud. The 3" inlet/outlet glass packs don't muffle it very much.
