my daughter and her partner bought these from their place ~5 hours south ~up for me Christmas day , + a 56 hood ( i can get rid of the 58 hood !) and nice pair of chrome headlight surrounds..

dash is a little rusty will strip for parts ~ my dash has rusty chrome and missing switches etc. motor is a good runner and 3 speed O/D trans and hood has a little rust..

and get to catch up with the young'ins which means smokey bbq all day cooked pulled pork , and chicken /mushroom and bell pepper on a stick .

Nothing cooler looking than an old vehicle pulling another on a trailer. Way to go!

Are you going to do any upgrades on the brakes or keep 'em as-is?

Way kool, this will be fun to watch. It wasn't until I saw the dash pic that I clued in where you are (Hey the steering wheel is on the right ?[S Oh, Duhhh)
There surely must not be many of those Studes in NZ [cl[cl[P

thanks Dozer, merry Christmas to you all too, not quite gifts i bought these of a stude guy a further 2 hours south~ kindly delivered to my daughter..

Old Stuff, i know right ! even cooler we had a 37 Chevy coupe and a 51-ish International both rodded cruising in procession .. brakes ~ i will spec slave cyls to V8 ( slightly bigger bore) and plan emergency stops ! :)

ZZ recent count suggests around 440 from way early to late Avantis, Studes here in NZ not all on the road either.. 56 sedans im aware of maybe 3-4 cars
the early planning build stages it may upset a few purists though.. sigh

Mac, Merry Christmas to you all too, yep thats a funny thing alright .. i had spoken to the seller a a couple of months back about a hood , he tracked me down 4-5weeks later then offered the motor/box completely out of the blue with the hood for a really good price couldnt say no . the flat 6 that come with the car is stuck and front mount . ive i'deed the block to 49-1950 . a good friend's Dad my want for his Bomber . same friend has 4 doors he no longer needs that hes brought up from the same town as my daughter. all of this has come together over just a few months, have to say im a little wowed by that!

update..

ok guys,

ive been doing little bits here and there , turned the inside out drivers door back the right way , made the trunk lid fit the car, but need to recon the hinge pins, and a few few bits of rust LF door , rad support panel ..,

this floor seems to be the worst rust in the beasty ..

new floor section, needs a little dressing up but should work fine.
once thats in will do the body mount in the wheel arch
