I think its a trunk or proper name. I'd like to know if anyone knows anything about it. What did it come on. Is it rare or worth anything.

Lots of 20's and early 30's cars had trunks like that mounted on the back. Any markings on any of the hinges or latches that might be of help?

It's later than brass era but earlier than mid 30s. I'd find a site for those era cars and hit them up. It might be last one left and worth some coin. Better yet throw an auction on eBay with a high reserve and make up the kinda car it fits and those guys will jump all over correcting you. Happens to me whenever I miss the year or something.
