What is this cab? Seems narrow and the door is odd.

And what is this car?

The truck is a narrowed/sectioned '39-'47 Dodge cab.

The car is a '28-'29 Ford Roadster heavily channeled over a '35-'40 Ford chassis.

Blue eyed Devil....you are good...

even after you've told me what they are, I still don't recognize any of it....other the hemi...

Thanks B.E.D. ! Ok, so what's the grill/hood on the roadster?

The narrowing of the cab makes a huge difference.

There was a full feature in Hot Rod or one of those mags on the roadster - built by a kid in the late 50's or early 60's, it was put away then and re-discovered in the last year - a ' barn find ' - it was on ebay shortly after....... some of the construction and so on are are little primitive but it is just the way it was done then. Most average builders were lucky to have a set of torches and a stick welder then.

The grille is a '35 Ford truck with the bottom trimmed off and homemade insert. Hood looks to be homemade due to the mismatch of the '28-'28 cowling and '35 grille, and also the lack of a belt line reveal. The blister on top was likely made for clearance of water hoses for the flathead. The side blisters are made to cover the ugly '35-'40 frame horns.
