So I found this set of springs in my hoarded stash. But I don't remember what they fit. Poss 69 mustang front? They are 13" tall by 5.25" diameter with a 3/4" wire diameter.

could be SGT but I don't remember GM springs having the tighter pigtail on one end

Might not be......that one does look pretty tight...

but the opening in the coil (inside diameter of the coil) is around 4.5" on the S10 and F bodies on both ends..so if there is one that's smaller / tighter, probably not the GM one.....don't know the Ford stuff so well....have gotten to know the workings of Kenworth W900's pretty well though...(wish I didn't) LOL....sorry, I'm drifting off topic....

any one have a 66-72 chevy 1/2 ton front spring they could measure? I was looking in a Brothers truck parts mag and saw they looked alot like this one. No diamentions though. hummm...

jfg, the front springs on the mentioned trucks don't have the pig tail.
Maybe a Ford twin I-beam or ? Where the spring fastens to the axle.

The Ford 4x4 Ranger uses a spring similar but, I don't think it's this short or that bid of wire ?
Definitely a heavy spring though

64-87 chevy look like those 14x5-1/4.I know they make one about the size of your finger for the 64-72 and the thicker ones for 3/4 tons. Seems the 73-87 run thicker on the half tons.
1st pic is 73-87,hard to tell but the 2nd is a 70 and is a little smaller in thickness.

That looks close. Maybe I got it in a box of parts for the 1970 GMC (the chopped one I had on here) when I got it and just threw them in the corner. Thanks for the pics.
