not sure if I have ever shared my love for the 3 wheeled death machines of the 70s and 80s with you guys. over the years I have owned a hand full of them. but none has been more fun than my 83 250r!! its not the sought after liquid cooled 85-86 bike but it is a solid strong runner. well it was, last october I blew it up drag racing in the sand. the same day I ran into a guy who had an 84 air cooled cr500 he wanted to sell. I'm sure you smart fellers can see where this is going. I bought the bike a few wekes ago and have been building ever since

the 500 had newer style inverted forks and a new carb along with an updated ignition system. I had to build a new engine cradle to hold the monster 500. I then built a 6" longer than stock wing arm.

should be fun!!

I never mastered 3 wheeler riding, ran over one of my feet more than once.:eek:
Give me two wheels or four, I can handle that. Three wheels? You’re a better man than me!:D

hahahaha, no one said anything about mastering 3 wheels!!!

I think a quad is harder to ride myself. the trike turn way sharper. mine has been widened 6 inches so it doesn't tip so easy. makes it way more stable.

that pic is from last summer, actually the day i blew it up I belive

Cool build. In my twenties I had a Honda ATC 184 that had been bored and stroked by my my cousin and some friends at the local Honda dealer. I was told it was a 215. He never got it running right and bought a 250R. After I beat him with the 185 He bought the 350 kit and we installed it on his. That bike became a more controllable and faster bike. I can only imagine what that 500 will do. Have fun.[P[P[P

see, you rode them and survived!! hahahahaha
I'm having a decal made for the rear of my trailer door that says "killer tricycles on board"

new parts!!!
