The owner was having a few issues with the car so he brought it back and dropped it off for a couple of days. I wanted to give it a good "once over" anyway. His main complaint was that his wife said the car smelled up their garage with gas. He dropped it off and gas was dripping out of the fuel pump vent! Changed the fuel pump, tidied up some wiring, etc. The drivers door had started to rub so I had to remove it and grind out the hinge as it was bottomed out in the pocket. It's all buttoned up now and the owner is happy again. Hopefully it won't be back!

It's been back, lol. The owner has had it back to me a couple of times now for upgrades. He wasn't happy with the stance, as the front wheels would rub at full lock. I put a set of QA1 coil over conversions in the front - not cheap, but they make it super easy to adjust the ride height and he loves the way it handles now. He plans on having an interior put in the car this winter, so he brought it back again for a few more upgrades. Primarily to have a pile more dynamat installed and I had to fabricate a new fuel filler tube. The original one drained down diagonally to the cell, but he wanted something closer to the floor that would allow for the interior guy to cover it up completely. I'm afraid that it might not fill very fast, but that's the price you pay for looking good. :)

You may have a friend for life Bill :D
Running a smaller tube parallel to the filler tube, tying in at both ends would solve the glug, glug issue when filling - but then that would keep it in your shop longer....:(

My first thought was the same as Snopro's. If you look into the future a wee bit and plan ahead, you never have to steer your wheels to full lock.
But, the customer is always right, so carry on, Bill. You're doing fine.

Thanks everyone, and yes I have to admit that he and I have become pretty good friends now - so I guess that he either likes my work, or appreciates how cheap my rate is! (Hopefully it's both)

Spent a few hours yesterday scraping out the old insulation....my 6'+ frame doesn't really like crawling in and out of that car...I can hardly walk today! I have the easy parts done now, but a long way to go.
