If he gets the Hemmings Motor News magazine and goes through it he'll get a good idea of pricing. I think that's a '30 Model A, [no body crease in front of the door hinges] and it just has an oval speedometer, not a round one like most of the '31's had. The car looks very nice, it should sell well.

The 28-29 Fordors had that style cowl, Mac. The Fordor cowl was entirely different.

Does it run and drive well LB., or sitting a while

Not a hundred percent sure. I literally just got asked what the value was of it today. Pretty sure they're open to offers they don't have any interest in the car. It's over in Marysville kind of in your neck of the woods. I would be interested in getting it running and driving again

In the past I used three sites, Hagerty, Collector insurance, and another, I forgot which one because there are now several more.

I am assuming its a two window 5 passenger?

So it looks like the average is 13000, but if it runs and in the original like it appears, could be up to 28000, (concourse)

The best way is to go to a few sites, and average up the values, in the past I found the answer was the Hagerty tool.

Here is one that I checked, no login required

fordor 5 pass 2 window

9450 to 11000 average condition.

Would the four door cars have been made in the Murray factory, so that's why they are different?

Yes, that's correct, they were made by either Briggs or Murray from my understanding.

Every time I see someone posting a 28-29 Fordor (Facebook Model A and hot rod pages, for example), there are multiple people claiming it's a 30-31 and this same discussion ensues. If we saw the front end of the car in question, it would have a 28-29 radiator shell and light bar and headlights if it is indeed a 29.

It's something that even those that feel they're versed in Model A identification get wrong often.

Here's a 29 Fordor for reference (this one is a Murray).
