picked this RAT up today

MAN I WAS TALKING TO A GUY AT WORK ABOUT MY TRUCK . SHOWED HIM SOME PICTURES OF MY PROJECT.
and he tells me, He has this old 57 chevy truck.
He got back in 1993.
Tells me all about it.

DRIVE IT WILE I WORK ON THE PROJECT!
It HAS SAT FOR 5 YEARS IN HIS DRIVEWAY!
I Had to wire the choke shut to drive it on the trailer..
got it home and swaped out the carb. starts right up now and runs good.
going to change the oil in it tomorrow
and tinker around with some other issues..

my dodge has the nova sub-frame and the above combo and it drives like a dream

Moved after 5 yrs of neglect ! This is where i rescued it from.

THREE QUARTS OF TRANS FLUID AND A BATTERY
(BAD CARB) BUT IT DROVE OUT OF THIS SPOT & ON TO MY TRAILER !
WITH THE CHOKE WIRED SHUT !
AFTER WE KNOCKED OFF THE MUD DOBBER MOTEL
THEY HAD THERE OWN HOLIDAY INN !

first day home worked on it all day ! went for a ride

first day home i worked on it all day ~
ditched the kitchen sink
swaped out the ugly 15in wheels for some old rusty 14in cragars had under the deck.
put couple good used tires on the front,still looking for some good used 14 in tires for the back but these hold air.LOL
changed the oil. swaped out carbs but still need a better one ! it runs and drives !
had to give it some better wheels !
need to loose the ugly mirrors and marker lights . had some blue dot lenses to swap in the tail lights, that , will work for now.have a few other things to do but had a good 1st day. i love it.[cl

O HECK YEAH,IT WENT WELL I DROVE IT DOWN THE ROAD FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND TURNED AROUND IN THIS DRIVE WAY AND TOLD MY BUDDY TO DRIVE US BACK HOME ! IT WAS SWEET WE WHERE BOTH GRINNING FROM EAR TO EAR MAN HE OFFERED TO BUY IT ON THE WAY BACK ! I JUST LAUGHED AND TOLD HIME I WOULD LET HIM DRIVE IT ONCE IN A WHILE. LMAO
HE THINKS I SHOULD PUT THE 56 ON THIS FRAME.
BUT THAT ONE IS GOING TO BE A GASSER..! 57 is RAT !
