Thanks for the interest guys.

Got the transmission out today.
The leak was from one of the drive plate mounting holes. My first thought was the bolts were too long and pushed the bottom of the hole out. But the bolts were stock bolts and were 1/8" shorter than the threaded hole.[S[S

Maybe a casting flaw?
Maybe the holes weren't done with a bottom tap and the threads were tapered at the bottom and pushed it out?
Supposed to be a new converter from Summit Racing. We'll see what they have to say about it. I already know it's going to pizz me off and I don't want to wait on them to ship me another one so...

Should have a converter tomorrow from NAPA and I'll do it all over again.

I don't have a transmission jack to work under my lift so I just block under the trans and lift the truck off of it. Don't know that that's OSHA approve but hey it works for me.[ddd

Well that body fell into the right hands. What you did with it is nothing short of amazing. Congratulations on an outstanding build.

1st shake down drive today.
No hood, no doors, lots of wind noise, and a rattle that I need to find.
Didn't have any issues other than I need to put a 180 degree thermostat in it.
It runs good, 80 mph with plenty left.
My Bride/videographer got to yapping about no seat belts. Not that they would do any good in a Willys at that speed.[S
