Progress......

After struggling with the decision of what to use for outside mirrors I decided to use Jeep TJ mirrors.
They mount to a flat surface with 3 bolts. If you have a flat spot to mount to which I didn't so I had make one on the doors.
More cutting, welding and grinding. I used 1/4" plate and welded 5/16" nuts on the back side for a solid mount. Welded the plates in, smeared a little metal reinforced filler on to level things out and got the doors primed today.

Wednesday I'll spray the doors and finally be DONE with body work and paint.

Great idea on the sturdy mirror mounts, you're nearly done!! [cl[P

You're getting pretty slick with this customizing thing.

It's always nice to build to fit your own wants/needs. It's all got to replace my 4 door Jeep JK that I sold last year.

This is the first time that I haven't had Jeep since they kicked me out of high school!! 52 YEARS AGO!![S:eek::eek:[S

Hanging doors.....

1st One on. 2 more to go.
I'm liking the way the mirror is looking.

That swing away feature on those mirrors will save you grief many times if you use it off road. Those look great with your project!

Thanks guys.
Smallfoot.... Unless some thing drastic happens, I plan on using this thing for my hunting, fishing, and as my towed vehicle behind our motor home.

This will most likely be my last major build:eek:[S:eek:
We are going to hit the road and see some new parts of our great USA.

Todays progress.......
