Yeah, there was some not so good stuff done to this car. The rockers had already been done at some point long ago. The inner rockers where gone also. The floors need done before the owner is flinstoning his way home!! All in good time!

How about newspaper backing and chicken wire? South of the border techniques.

Hacks have no boundaries! Chicken wire, newspaper, rags, steel wool, cardboard, you name it.

I did some work on a TR4 Triumph once... it was full of expanding foam! I told the owner, we should push it in a lake and see it if floats. :p

Probably 20 years ago, my dad had a customer whose son bought about a 76 Trans Am as his first car. It needed to be inspected and checked over. It looked pretty trashed but had a newer paint job. It was white with a blue bird on the hood. The doors didn't fit right, as normal. When we put it up on the lift, most of the bottom half of the car was tin foil, spray foam, and bondo. It was quite the art project. When they came to get it, dad told them he never wanted to see it again. I don't know what they did with it, but I know it didn't hit the road in our small town.

Come on now, you can't tell me you didn't do that when we were 16. I know I did :D

If it wasn’t for bondo and poprivets I would have were a lot of soles of my disco shoes in the seventies, smaller holes where left to drop beer bottles out when the rcmp would pulled me over ,didn’t work all the time

Yeah, the whole side of the car is full of Bondo. Like I said the Rockers had been replaced before and yes they were pop riveted together. Doesn't look too bad now

I threw a beer bottle out a closed window once.

I bought a 76 dodge van for $ 150 around 1992 . I formed the inner rockers and quarters with duct tape and spray foamed it out to shape. I cheese grated it to shape and painted it. Used it to haul bikes to bike week and sold it to my brother when I got home.
